The Government of Barbados provides free health care for Barbadian children living here up to the age of 16.
Children can receive free medical care at the QEH or the polyclinics. They also receive free drugs from the Barbados Drug Formulary at participating dispensaries or from a government dispensary.
Children with special needs can be seen at the Children Development Centre.
Parents and guardians should pay attention to the schedule of vaccination appointments for children if they want to prevent the development of debilitating diseases which can cause serious health threats to children.
