Track And Field For Children

​Many children begin their track and field career in primary schools where they compete for their schools at the National Primary School Athletic Championships and when they enter secondary schools, those that are keen continue their quest by representing their schools at the Secondary School Athletic Championships.

 

Athletes who meet the qualiiying standards are eligible to compete at various local and regional meets through their clubs or schools and the best are usually chosen to represent the island at meets such as junior and Senior CAC games, CARIFTA and Junior Pan Am Games.

 

If your child shows a keen interest in track and field you might want to consider having him or her train with a club to enhance their athletic ability and to properly prepare them for competition.
